Answers to Same-Sex Biblical Marriage

Christianity started 2 milenia ago, and Christians have developed different views of Scripture: a) As history and divine revelation, b) As all or partially instructional for modern life, c) Interpreted selectively by denominational leaders, d) or allowing changes by modern prophets, or a Pope. To the extent Jesus' disciples recorded, Jesus allegedly did not say anything for or against homosexual behavior.

Christianity is about love, understanding and tolerance. Allegedly, Christian marriage is about love and commitment, so two persons of any gender should be able to access the covenant of marriage.

Biblical Marriage is a Covenant, Enduring, Protected with God's Power

If love is never constant

If the sexual act is not always feasible

If money is not always a guarantee

If friends might steal our loved one

If family is not always helpful and supportive

We still have God

Biblical marriage, at its fullest, is a COVENANT

Biblical marriage, at its fullest, is not simply a contract

A contract can be broken: say bye and "no hard feelings",

Because love, sex, money, friends may come and go

A COVENANT is a promise to God

A set of vows that put each other only second to God

A COVENANT cannot be broken. It is sacrificial.

And it depends on God's daily miracles for us.

A COVENANT of MARRIAGE is not broken,

And it gives the union a time to heal, a second chance

Because it is GOOD.

It is God's optimum formula for enduring marriage

A simple contract, begs to be broken

Just make another contract

With someone who broke their contract

And left their children to fend for themselves

In financial disadvantage, traumatized for life

A COVENANT IS PEACE, and peace brings love,

And love brings sexual renewal,

And peace brings money, and new friends,

And money brings family relatives back,

In mutual support. And family is the foundation

To face competitive society.
